B5N2 Kate flown by Petty Officer Haruo Sato from SORYU as part of the Third Attack Unit in the first wave during the attack on Pearl Harbor.  The Observer/Bombardier was Petty Officer First Class Nobru Kanai, and the Gunner/Radio Operator was Petty Officer Second Class Yoshikazu Hanada.  This aircraft dropped it's bomb on Battleship Row, early in the attack.  Two weeks after the attack on Pearl Harbor, this Kate was shot down by an F4F-3 Wildcat at Wake Island, and all three members of the crew were killed.  This is similar to the artwork in the Attack on Pearl Harbor, Japan Awakens a Sleeping Giant, available for sale on this website.
